1:1 Private Sessions

Currently, private sessions are only available online. If possible, please be in a confidential space, as the presence of others or distractions can change the flow of art making and conversations. Together, we will create your therapeutic goals and move at a pace that feels right to you.

What can Happen in Sessions:

●       Spontaneous art making (ie: art based check ins)

●       Directed art making (ie: show me your safe space)

●       Noticing the process and the art

●       Connecting the art to broader topics, themes or challenges

●       Checking in with bodily sensations and feelings

●       Gaining new insight

●       Brainstorming and practicing new solutions or coping strategies

While trained as a generalist, here are some of Shannon's areas of focus, which were highlighted throughout their clinical placements:

●       Neurodivergency (ADHD, Autism) - with children and adults

●       Grief and loss

●       Anxiety, depression, burnout

●       Anger, frustration

●       Self-esteem

●       Stress management and emotional regulation

●       Creating space and safety to pause and reflect

If you are unsure if art therapy is right for you, sign up for a 15 mins free consultation or attend the next introductory workshop. At the moment, art therapy sessions with me are not covered under insurance; however, I have limited sliding scale appointments available for folks who need them ($40-115).

Workshops and Groups

Part of my ethos is making art therapy more accessible for folks. All workshops and groups are pay what you can. If you want to learn more about art therapy, connect with others, and make space for art making, a workshop is perfect for you. Please join the newsletter or follow me on Instagram, to receive notifications of new workshops and events.

Important Considerations

Groups are informal, have a life of their own and are a space for sharing. Please note that unlike 1:1 sessions, clients are encouraged to already have a coping strategy that helps them regulate (ie: five finger breathing) and an after session plan (ie: go for a walk, journal) as unforeseen feelings may come up in group. If you have any concerns, please contact me and we can work together to accommodate your needs and where you are at in your healing journey.

Organization and Team Building

Are you interested in hosting a private group? This is perfect for friend groups, colleagues within a corporate setting or as a team building workshop.

Workshops are tailored to your organization/company/groups specific needs; therefore, the cost will depend on art materials, size of group, duration of workshop, and the time for planning.

Benefits

  • Build interpersonal connections through shared experience

  • Collaborate on collective wellbeing

  • Explore work/life balance

  • Learn practical self-care skills and stress relief

“On the one hand, art making creates an environment that fosters relationships; on the other hand, our relationships create a context from which artworks emerge.”
